Travel by train
With two high-speed main lines connecting Exeter to the rest of the UK, travelling by train is a convenient option. Exeter Central Station is located a short walk from the High Street and is served by regular local trains linking the mainline at Exeter St David's, and serving the four points of the compass:
West: to Dawlish, Teignmouth, Torquay and Paignton
North: to Mid Devon and Barnstaple
South: to Topsham and Exmouth
East: to Honiton, Axminster, Yeovil and London Waterloo
