Interactive Tai Chi sessions open to all in Princesshay
Date of Event: 17/07/2010 - 07/08/2010
Exeter’s Princesshay shopping quarter is set to host a series of free interactive Tai Chi sessions open to all ages and ability.
The sessions are being held in Princesshay Square on the 17th, 24th & 31st July & 7th August two 1 hour sessions from 11am-12pm and 2pm-3pm.
The sessions will be hosted by experts from the Exeter School of Tai Chi, Tom Collingridge and Helen Kingdon who train diligently with leading Tai Chi masters from the UK and China. The School believes
that Tai Chi is accessible and beneficial to everyone and has taught diverse groups including elderly care home residents,
people with disabilities and young people with behavioural problems, with students ranging in age from 16 – 101!
Wayne Pearce, Princesshay Centre Manager said “This is a real opportunity to try something new and have a go at Tai Chi. We’re
delighted to be able to offer our main square to community groups to host interactive events such as this. The fact that this
is free and lead by authentic Tai Chi instructors mean shoppers and visitors in Princesshay will have exclusive access to
expert teachers!”
The Exeter School of Tai Chi teaches authentic Chen style Tai Chi, following the teachings of the current Grandmaster, Chen
Xiao Wang.
