Leading Princesshay Jeweller is helping our heroes this June!
Date of Event: 29/06/2010 - 29/06/2010
Leading independent designer jewellers, Carol Anne are to host a fundraising event on Tuesday 29th June to raise money for the Help For Heroes charity, supporting our injured soldiers.
This Princesshay retailer, situated on Roman Walk, will offer customers the chance to see how the extremely popular glass
Trollbeads are made throughout the day from 10.00am until 8.00pm. A Trollbeads lampwork artist will be demonstrating the skills
and creativity that goes into making each beautiful glass bead and will offer enthusiasts a rare insight into their work.
Trollbead fans can come together and share their ‘Troll stories’ as each bracelet and necklace often represents an individual’s life story through the meaning and symbolism of the beads. There will also be the chance to win a unique limited edition Trollbead to add to your collection or to begin your very own Trollbead journey!
Carol Anne Store Manager Claire Lock said, ‘We’re really excited about hosting this special event which will raise money for Help for Heroes. Trollbeads are immensely popular and I know many people would love to know the skills that go into making the beautiful beads!’
Trollbeads is a unique concept that began life in Denmark in 1976 and offers its wearer the chance to make bespoke jewellery
to suit their needs. With over 400 intricate designs, each bead has its own story and symbolism so each owner’s collection
is truly distinctive and special. The beads are made individually using the highest quality Italian glass and require great
skills from the lampwork artists. Each bead is individually turned using molten glass in an 800°C flame and once the outline
of the bead is made, it can take up to 8 separate operations to complete the beautiful and intricate design.
Don’t miss this unique and fascinating chance to see how these beautiful and distinctive beads are made at Carol Anne in Princesshay
on June 29 from 10.00am until 8.00pm with all donations going to Help For Heroes.
