QUIKSILVER TO OPEN IN PRINCESSHAY

The world’s number one surf brand is set to open a brand new store in one of Princesshay’s most prominent units. Due to open in the former Faith unit this October, Quiksilver will stock a large range of clothing, footwear and accessories including the Roxy and DC brands.
Originally formed in Australia in 1969, Quiksilver now has 600 stand alone stores worldwide. Owned and run by 3 siblings, VICJAM, based in South Wales have become Quiksilver’s largest franchise partner in Europe, successfully running 5 stores across the UK, including the new store soon to open in Princesshay.
Since 2008, VICJAM have opened stores in Llanelli, Bristol, Cardiff and Carmarthen and enjoy some of the best sales figures within the group in the UK and Europe. Recently nominated for South Wales Business of the Year 2010, VICJAM are confident about the opening of their new store soon to be located in the heart of Exeter’s shopping scene.
Steve Llewelyn, Director of VICJAM and Quiksilver in Princesshay said, “This is a really positive move and step for the company and we’re excited about opening our latest store in Princesshay, Exeter. The South West has some fantastic surfing spots and amazing coast line so we’re confident there will be an appetite for our well known and respected product ranges.”
The new Manager of Quiksilver in Exeter is Chrissie Harper–Holdcroft who has worked with the VICJAM group for a number of years, starting out as Assistant Manager in Llanelli before going on to manage the Quiksilver store Cardiff.
Wayne Pearce, Princesshay Centre Director said, “This is a fantastic signing for Princesshay and we’re delighted that Quiksilver are coming to Princesshay. Princesshay continues to attract prestigious and respected retailers and we’re very pleased that such a successful surf and outdoor lifestyle brand are joining our top quality retail line up that shoppers have come to expect at Princesshay.”
Due to open in the first week of October, Quiksilver will stock everything for surf enthusiasts and those that love the great outdoors.

Help fight Heart Disease with Princesshay’s BIG Donation!

The BIG Donation, a series of nationwide donate events from August to October, enables everyone to help fight heart disease by donating their good quality unwanted goods which will be sold on in BHF Shops to raise money to help fight the UK’s biggest killer.

From 30th August to 12th September Princesshay Exeter will be holding a BIG Donation event where visitors can bring in previously loved, good quality clothing, shoes, accessories, books, toys and bric-a-brac. To help make a difference simply take your bag of donations to the drop off point situated next to Hugg in Bedford Street. Every bag of good quality items donated could raise as much as £20 or more for the charity.

Everyone at the British Heart Foundation, from our volunteers to our cardiac nurses, works tirelessly in the fight against heart disease. We rely on the support of local people to continue helping heart patients across the region. If everyone in Exeter fills up a bag they will be helping to save lives in their community. It really is as simple as that.
