Orange Tree Named Best Independent Gift Retailer in the South West

Orange Tree, Princesshay’s stylish independent gift and lifestyle store has been named Best Independent Gift Retailer in the South West and Wales at ‘The Greats Gift Retailer Awards 2008’ presented by Progressive Gifts and Home Worldwide magazine.
Launched in 2003, ‘The Greats’ recognise and reward the very best in gift retail, from the tiniest independent to the major multiples, bringing together the entire gift industry for a night of celebration.
Retailers nominated in the Independent Gift Retailer of the Year category had to show excellence in all areas of business including the range of gifts offered, product knowledge, customer service, shop environment, shop displays and marketing.
Independently owned Orange Tree, located on Bedford Street in Princesshay prides itself on providing exquisite gifts from the traditional to the contemporary along with beautiful furniture and accessories to add that special touch to the home. Owners Sandy and Li Case continue to source quirky gifts from around the world including brands such as Muddy Dog, Mulberry bags, Barlow Tyrie furniture and Suki skincare.
Orange Tree in Princesshay also came runner up in the prestigious ‘Best new store’ category for the South of England, another fantastic accolade for the family run independent store.

All category winners were announced at the Great Expectations award night at
The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday 22nd May. This glittering black tie event included a champagne reception,
dinner awards, entertainment and dancing.
