Dynamic Break Dancing Show in Princesshay Square

Date: 20 Jul 2009

Friday 5th June, a troupe of 10 talented break dancers from Boy Blue Entertainment will entertain shoppers and those enjoying lunch alfresco, with a high impact and visual routine showcasing moves from their latest show ‘Pied Piper’, currently playing at Exeter Northcott from 3rd – 6th June.
An award winning show, Boy Blue Entertainment presents a bold, contemporary hip hop street dance interpretation of Robert Browning’s poem ‘The Pied Piper of Hamlin’. Pushing street dance to its outer limits, Pied Piper is an innovative, original and thrilling 90 minute dance piece.
Established 5 years ago, the break dancing team closely follow the structure of the poem adding relevant and topical twists by setting the show in an urban setting with the ‘rats’ becoming ‘youths in hoodies’ who are branded anti social.
Emma McLeod, Princesshay Marketing Manager said, “These sort of acts are incredible entertaining and popular, especially with a similar style group winning Britain’s Got Talent last weekend! Boy Blue Entertainment are an extremely talented troupe of dancers and I’m sure they’ll quickly generate a crowd of shoppers around them while performing this Friday in our main square.”
The innovative dance group from London are currently touring the country and will perform at Exeter Northcott theatre from Wednesday 3rd June – Saturday 6th June.
Polly Agg-Manning, Creative Learning Manager from Exeter Northcott said, “It’s fantastic to give the public a taste of the show with this exclusive performance in Princesshay’s main square. The show is truly brilliant and won an Olivier award for outstanding achievement in 2007. The attitude of the team is inspiring and once they start dancing you just can’t take your eyes off them. It’s definitely worth paying Princesshay a visit this Friday to watch.”
Boy Blue Entertainment will be performing in Princesshay this Friday 5th June from 1pm – 2pm in the main Square.
