THREE PRINCESSHAY RETAILERS NAMED SOUTH WEST’S TOP

The Guardian newspaper has named Insideout and Orange Tree, leading lifestyle stores and Carol Anne, designerjewellers from Princesshay, as three of the South West’s top independent retailers.
All three South West based retailers made the pages of the national newspaper in their Independent Shopping Directory, which is collated at the end of the year. The Guardian Shopping Directory is deemed to be ‘The Ultimate guide to Britain’s finest independent shops and suppliers’.
Both contemporary lifestyle stores were given rave reviews by The Guardian. Insideout was described as ‘a store that sells everything from photo albums to jewellery, homeware and funky children’s T-shirts, focussing on high-end brands such as Alessi and Pilgrim’. The broadsheet also heralded Insideout’s award successes of the past year, where it was named Independent Retailer of the Year 2007 for the South West and was also a finalist in The National Business Awards.

Orange Tree was described as ‘more of a small department store than a typical gift shop offering everything from handbags to furniture to skincare. Owner Sandy Case and his family continue to source quirky gifts from around the world including brands such as Muddy Dog, Mulberry bags, Barlow Tyrie furniture and Suki skincare’.
